Based on the Gospel According to St. Matthew, a small group of people help Jesus Christ tell different parables by using a wide variety of games, storytelling techniques, and hefty dose of comic timing. An eclectic blend of songs ranging in style from pop to vaudeville is employed as the story of Jesus’s life dances across the stage. Dissolving hauntingly into the Last Supper and the Crucifixion, Jesus’s messages of kindness, tolerance, and love come vibrantly to life. –
IN REGARD TO ALTAR BOYZ:

Book by Kevin Del Aguila | Music and Lyrics by Gary Adler and Michael Patrick Walker | Conceived By Marc Kessler and Ken Davenport
ALTAR BOYZ is a foot-stomping, rafter-raising, musical comedy about a fictitious Christian boy-band on the last night of their national ‘Raise the Praise’ tour. The Boyz are five all-singing, all-dancing heartthrobs from Ohio: Matthew, Mark, Luke, Juan and Abraham. With their tight harmonies and spectacular choreography, the ALTAR BOYZ will delight your audiences. As they perform their signature hits such as ‘Rhythm In Me,’ ‘The Calling,’ and ‘I Believe,’ the Boyz question their loyalty to each other and ask whether or not faith is really holding them together. They finally deliver a message of unity, that ‘there is no star as bright as its constellation, no harmony in a single voice.’

We’ve just posted the audition date, and people have been trickling in and will continue to trickle in up until the date. We certainly won’t have a limit as to how many people will be auditioning. I believe there are 8 roles that need to be filled. Thank you!
