Evita
in concert at the Reading Public Museum
Directed by Christopher Sperat
August 20, 21, 22
|
The New York Times Review
said that Evita is about media manipulation, the power of "hype", the
gullibility of the masses and, perhaps most of all, the arbitrariness
of stardom. Don't miss this Andrew Lloyd Webber(music) - Tim
Rice(lyrics) mega hit.

'Comics. Stripped.
Catch up with your childhood C.B and the rest of the gang, as they
traverse the perils of their high school years. Opening with
C.B's search for meaning after the untimely death of his beloved
beagle, he soon finds himself back in familiar territory; questioning
everything. The years have changed them all. Drugs,
alcohol, approaching adulthood, and issues of sexuality, have all left
their marks, but they remain as universal, and treasured, as they have
always been.

Revolutionary for its time, Time Magazine named Carousel the Best
Musical of the 20th Century and Rodgers, in his autobiography, called
it "his favorite musical." The show includes the hit musical numbers
"If I Loved You", "June Is Bustin' Out All Over", and "You'll
Never Walk Alone" and was brilliantly innovative: one of the first
musicals to contain a tragic plot
